Methodology

CaseGo separates four kinds of information so families are not misled by confident-sounding but unsupported claims.

1. Verified facts

Case-specific facts must carry provenance: an approved source reference and retrieval timestamp. User-reported statements stay labeled as user-reported.

2. Legal information

Statutes, rules, and administrative orders are retrieved as authorities. Phase 1 uses mock authorities only. CaseGo does not hard-code invented laws as if they were current.

3. Historical data

Future comparable-case cohorts will require matching jurisdiction, filed charge, procedural stage, period, and sufficient sample size. Historical outcomes will be aggregate and descriptive only, with a clear “not a prediction” label. Phase 1 does not display outcome percentages.

4. Individual predictions

CaseGo does not provide personalized probabilities of dismissal, prosecution, conviction, or sentence. Possible procedural paths are shown as possibilities — not forecasts about a specific person.
