Privacy

CaseGo is designed to ask only for information needed for the current task. This page explains what happens to information you may provide while using CaseGo today.

Accounts

You do not need an account to use CaseGo’s current roadmap, directory, or guided-help features.

Information you may provide

• Procedural roadmap answers (role, location category, known process events, offense class).
• Free-text descriptions you type in guided help (for example an arrest description, bond amount, or place).
• Location clues: city and state, ZIP code, county, or street address.
• Optional details you choose to copy from an official webpage into CaseGo after you have already viewed that page.

Roadmap answers

Roadmap answers stay in application memory on your device while you build the current roadmap. CaseGo does not send roadmap answers to a CaseGo server, does not save them to an account, and does not use them to train AI.

Starting over clears your current roadmap answers. Refreshing or leaving the page also ends the current in-memory answers because CaseGo does not persist them.

Browser storage, cookies, and analytics

CaseGo’s product features do not use localStorage, sessionStorage, product cookies, analytics SDKs, or session-replay tools to keep your roadmap or chat answers.

Your browser and the hosting platform may still keep ordinary technical records such as page requests. CaseGo cannot promise that no technical log exists outside the application code.

City, ZIP, county, and address handling

• ZIP code. A five-digit ZIP is resolved locally against CaseGo’s versioned Census ZIP/ZCTA–to–county table. That lookup does not send your ZIP to an external service.
• Manual state and county selection. Runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent for the selection itself.
• City, county name, or street address. After you consent, CaseGo sends the place to CaseGo’s county-lookup API, which forwards it to the U.S. Census Bureau’s public geocoding service only to identify county and state. CaseGo does not put that place in a CaseGo URL and does not use it to identify a person.

A geographic match is a routing clue. It does not prove where an arrest, booking, charge, or court case occurred.

Official-record handoffs

CaseGo does not currently perform automatic jail or court-record searches inside the product. When CaseGo cannot search, it provides a link to an official source. Enter identifiers such as name or date of birth on that official website when the site asks for them. The official website controls its own collection and privacy practices. CaseGo does not place personal information in those handoff links.

AI and training

CaseGo’s current guided flows do not call an AI or model provider with your answers. CaseGo does not use your conversations to train AI.

What CaseGo does not do with your information

• No sale of search history.
• No advertising based on criminal-case searches.
• No use for employment, housing, credit, or insurance screening through CaseGo.
• No CaseGo account database of roadmap or chat answers in the current product.

Security

CaseGo aims to minimize what it handles and to avoid storing sensitive answers. Ordinary hosting protections are not a guarantee against unauthorized access.

Your controls

• Start over clears the current guided conversation or roadmap.
• Home returns you to the beginning of the product.
• Changing a location search clears prior location candidates and derived county routing for that flow.
• Clearing official-page notes removes those notes from the current page session.

Clearing the interface does not delete records that may already exist on an official website you visited, or technical logs outside CaseGo’s application code.
